Are you interested in becoming a Catholic or do you know someone who might be interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith? Have a look at the RCIA Journey.
The RCIA Journey is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. This journey can take some time. The time varies from person to person. It involves meeting weekly in a small group to discuss any questions you may have and to clarify any of the information in the reading that is recommended.
You would be given a sponsor, someone who would walk the journey alongside you, to support you and to encourage you. Also, a prayer partner who will pray for you during your journey. In the small group there would be a catechist who is there to help support you in understanding the Catholic faith and tradition. Meanwhile, you will be encouraged to attend Mass in order to experience liturgy and to become familiar with Catholic worship (although you would receive a blessing instead of Holy Communion, this is received later in your journey).
We will be inviting those who are interested in finding out more about the RCIA Journey in September/October 2017. If you would like to know more, please contact Fr. Joseph at the Parish Office on 3207 9177.
