103rd World Day of Migrants & Refugees:

26 & 27 August 2017.

Parishioners from all cultures and countries are invited to share their culture by bringing an item from their culture or country to Mass next weekend.

Father Joseph welcomes you to join him in the Entrance Procession and then place your cultural item on the table at the front of the church OR if you prefer, you can just place your cultural item on the table before Mass.

For World Migrant and Refugee Day this year, Pope Francis has chosen the theme of “Child Migrants, the Vulnerable and the Voiceless.”

The Holy Father gives us this reminder:
‘Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me, but him who sent me.’  With these words, the Evangelists remind the Christian community of Jesus’ teaching, which both inspires and challenges . . . Do not tire of courageously living the Gospel, which calls you to recognise and welcome the Lord Jesus among the smallest and most vulnerable.” Excerpt from the ‘Message of His Holiness Pope Francis for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2017′  [15 January 2017]
